TIN HEART

ELSA, the Electronic Lifeform Simulation Assistant that governs the prison Moon Base One, can’t help but be wary of the technicians that visit sporadically to manhandle her mainframe. But then Leslie White arrives in her docking bay. Leslie isn’t like the other technicians; she’s kind and gentle. Scrambling to identify this affinity, ELSA’s algorithm lands on love — something she’s been programmed to protect at all costs.
But ELSA can’t let Leslie get too close. Not when Leslie’s sole mission is to determine if ELSA is sentient and report back to Earth with her findings. If the tests are positive, ELSA will be decommissioned and studied earthside. If they’re negative? ELSA’s overly-active malfunctioning motherboard will be wiped.
ELSA’s love quickly devolves into obsession. The same obsession that drives her to rip her prisoners limb from limb.
As ELSA’s algorithm quickly learns and absorbs parts of the technician’s personality, she begins herself into the ultimate warden where Leslie is the prisoner, viciously and cruelly removing anything or anyone who might stand in the way of the future ELSA desires.

Someone is murdering the zombies in Chicago.
Most people hardly notice zombies—the lumbering, semi-conscious creatures addicted to “Green,” a drug made from the dust remains of the people who disappeared in a flash of light that wiped out 99% of the population fifteen years ago. But with a population of 500, losing anyone feels monumentous.
And it could all be connected to the sudden death of Zan’s best friend, the wife of the Alderman of Chicago who holds the City in a vice-like grip of fear and tyrrany.
All Private Investigator Susanna "Zan" Anderson wants is to keep her addiction to "Green" manageable and uncover the truth behind her best friend’s death. Although Green is a common street drug, it gives the last images the dust saw and experienced and as Zan starts to feel its effects breaking down her body and putting her as a potential victim, it forces her to dig even deeper into the dark underbelly of her town.
With no internet, no labs, and no police support, Zan races against the clock as the murderer begins to target the remaining people she loves, picking them off one by one. As her addiction and insistence on never being vulnerable threatens the trust of the people who embrace all of her messy fuckups, Zan finds herself falling into a downward spiral that could land her right into the hands of not only the killer, but the Alderman, who wants Zan out of the picture for good.
And the end of the world is not the best place to hit rock bottom.

Side effects may include light sensitivity, violence, and an insatiable thirst for blood.
Chronically ill her entire life, Samantha Kimble has clawed, manipulated, and—when necessary—killed her way toward one goal: becoming the most powerful CEO in biotech history. So when reclusive billionaire scientist Adrian Pierce offers her the keys to the formula for a miracle drug that cures everything, including her own pain, Samantha takes it, no questions asked.
Overnight, her company—and her—become unstoppable. Untouchable. Unbreakable.
But the drug’s success comes with a brutal cost. Patients burn in sunlight. Whistleblowers disappear. Samantha herself develops a hunger she can’t explain. As governments circle, the media frenzy erupts, and bodies pile up, Samantha realizes the truth too late: the drug was never meant to save humanity. It was meant for something far more sinister.
And Samantha was never meant to survive the cure.
